HEART & HANDS
Giving what matters, when it matters.
Our Purpose

Heart & Hands is committed to uplifting underserved children and families in our community. We provide practical support and moments of care through donations, events, and creative outreach.
Our Programs
Little Creators Lab
Little Creators Lab is a free, weekly Saturday enrichment program created for students in grades 1–5. Each session brings together art, creative writing, and hands-on STEM activities in a fun, welcoming space that encourages curiosity and self-expression. The program is held from 12:00 to 1:00 PM every Saturday at Interfaith Works in Rockville and is open to families across Montgomery County, with a focus on accessibility for those who may benefit most from free enrichment opportunities. All curriculum, materials, and instruction are provided by Heart & Hands volunteers at no cost to families.

Sponsor a Student
Sponsor a Student was our back-to-school initiative to provide fully stocked backpacks to underserved students in Montgomery County. A donation of $15 covers one student, or: one subject notebook, folder, ruler, crayons, pencil pouch, eraser, glue stick, sharpener, pens, pencils, a highlighter, all inside a backpack.
This drive runs through mid-August, with all donations going directly toward school supplies. You can learn more or donate through the Sponsor-a-Student tab in the menu.
Community Pop-Ups
Our pop-up events will offer families small moments of care through shared meals, storytime corners, book swaps, or themed activity nights. These events will be designed to be accessible, comforting, and centered around connection.
Care Kits
We assemble and distribute care kits to support children and families during times of need. These include winter warmth kits with seasonal essentials, birthday boxes to celebrate special moments, and thoughtfully prepared bundles that combine practical items with small comforts to bring a sense of care and stability.
Future Projects
We are continuing to expand our efforts with new initiatives designed to support families in meaningful ways. Upcoming projects include drives and community-based events that focus on providing both practical resources and moments of joy, all centered around accessibility, connection, and thoughtful support.
